หลังจากลองเลือก backup tool อยู่หลายตัว สำหรับ Windows 7 ก็มาจบที่ Drive Snapshot เพราะง่ายที่สุด โปรแกรมเป็นแค่ file เดียวเท่านั้น ราคาไม่แพงมาก ใช้งานง่าย ตัวอื่นๆที่เทียบดูก็มี Acronis (Features เยอะ GUI สวย แต่แพงกว่าพอสมควร), Macrium Relflect (ลอง create boot cd แล้วไม่ work สำหรับแบบ linux แบบ BartPE ต้องไป download PEBuilder แล้วมาทำอีก) สำหรับ Drive Snapshot ราคา 39 Euro มี Boot Image สำหรับ Diskette มาให้ ลอง restore เข้าไปใน usb flash ก็ใช้ได้เลย มี drivers ของ USB Drives ให้เรียบร้อย ตามวิธีที่ระบุไว้ใน http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/Tips.htm ส่วนถ้าต้องการ customize เช่นใส่ tool อื่นๆเพิ่มก็ทำได้โดย

1. Download และ Install HP Drive Key Boot Utility hpusbdisk

2. จาก program Drive SnapShot เลือก View Contents of Saved Disk Image จะได้ virtual drive มา

3. ให้เลือก Map and Explore Virtual Drive จากนั้น Run HP Utility แล้ว set ตามรูปด้านล่าง เลือก Virtual Drive Location สำหรับ DOS System ในที่นี้เป็น Drive Z:

4. Copy File หรือ Utilities อื่นๆใส่ตามต้องการ

Note : ถ้าจะใช้ Spinrite ห้าม enable NTFS Support เพราะจะทำให้ memory ไม่พอ ยังไม่รู้แก้ยังไง แต่ ก็ไม่จำเป็นสำหรับการ run spinrite

** ผมว่าเป็น Perfect Combination สำหรับ user ทั่วไป Snapshot + Spinrite สองไฟล์รวมกันขนาดยังไม่ถึง 1MB เลย

บางทีเวลาเก็บ podcasts ที่มีประโยชน์ไว้เยอะหลาย episodes แล้วย้ายไปย้ายมาใน iTunes ถ้า add files จาก files ที่เป็น mp3 มันจะปรับให้เป็น podcasts ไม่ได้ ก็เลยวุ่นวายเลยทีนี้เพราะบางอันที่ Update มาผ่าน iTunes มันก็เป็น podcast แต่อันที่ download ไว้เป็น mp3 พอ add เข้ามามันทำให้เป็น podcasts ไม่ได้ ไม่รู้ทำยังไง ผมก็เลยใช้วิธีทำให้มันเป็น audiobook ไปเลย เพราะเก็บ Security Now! ไว้ฟังทุก episodes เลย เยอะมาก วิธีการทำให้ทั้งหมดเป็น podcasts มี tricks ดังนี้ครับ (ขอขอบคุณ http://www.macosxhints.com ด้วยครับ)

1. Copy the files out of their normal directory. (Your desktop is a good place, as this is temporary.)
2. Delete the podcasts — don’t just unsubscribe. When iTunes asks, tell it to move the files to the Trash.
3. Go into iTunes 7’s Parental Controls and disable Podcasts. (If you don’t do this, they will reappear in the Podcast sub-library.)
4. Add the files back into iTunes with the normal method (command-O).
5. iTunes will realize that you are adding podcasts, and will ask if you want to turn them back on. Say no. iTunes will continue adding the files; they simply won’t be podcasts.

ลง service pack 3 ของ xp แล้วมีปัญหาเวลาใช้ mac theme (leopard theme + rocket dock) ต้องแก้ด้วยการลง SP3 UxTheme Patcher 1.2, upload มาไว้ที่นี่แล้ว กันหาไม่เจอทีหลัง

คนทำ software ทางด้าน supply chain ที่ดังๆมี SAP, Oracle, Infor, QAD Inc., i2 Technologies (Transport Management System ดัง) โดย Infor ได้ไปซื้อ SSA Global มา ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้ก็ได้ไปซื้อ EXE Technologies ที่ทำ Exceed WMS มาอีกต่อหนึ่ง ตอนนี้ชื่อ Infor SCP Warehouse Management System

One tip ที่ผมเจอระหว่าง search ข้อมูลพวกนี้คือ google mediaproducts.gartner.com/reprints/ +ข้อมูลที่อยากรู้ เพื่อจะอ่านวิเคราะห์ของทาง Gartner ผ่านทางบริษัท vendor ต่างๆ mediaproducts.gartner.com/reprints/ +2008 ก็ได้ข้อมูลปีล่าสุดเป็นต้น
