Create Bootable USB Flash for Drive Snapshot

หลังจากลองเลือก backup tool อยู่หลายตัว สำหรับ Windows 7 ก็มาจบที่ Drive Snapshot เพราะง่ายที่สุด โปรแกรมเป็นแค่ file เดียวเท่านั้น ราคาไม่แพงมาก ใช้งานง่าย ตัวอื่นๆที่เทียบดูก็มี Acronis (Features เยอะ GUI สวย แต่แพงกว่าพอสมควร), Macrium Relflect (ลอง create boot cd แล้วไม่ work สำหรับแบบ linux แบบ BartPE ต้องไป download PEBuilder แล้วมาทำอีก) สำหรับ Drive Snapshot ราคา 39 Euro มี Boot Image สำหรับ Diskette มาให้ ลอง restore เข้าไปใน usb flash ก็ใช้ได้เลย มี drivers ของ USB Drives ให้เรียบร้อย ตามวิธีที่ระบุไว้ใน http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/Tips.htm ส่วนถ้าต้องการ customize เช่นใส่ tool อื่นๆเพิ่มก็ทำได้โดย
1. Download และ Install HP Drive Key Boot Utility hpusbdisk
2. จาก program Drive SnapShot เลือก View Contents of Saved Disk Image จะได้ virtual drive มา


3. ให้เลือก Map and Explore Virtual Drive จากนั้น Run HP Utility แล้ว set ตามรูปด้านล่าง เลือก Virtual Drive Location สำหรับ DOS System ในที่นี้เป็น Drive Z:

4. Copy File หรือ Utilities อื่นๆใส่ตามต้องการ
Note : ถ้าจะใช้ Spinrite ห้าม enable NTFS Support เพราะจะทำให้ memory ไม่พอ ยังไม่รู้แก้ยังไง แต่ ก็ไม่จำเป็นสำหรับการ run spinrite
** ผมว่าเป็น Perfect Combination สำหรับ user ทั่วไป Snapshot + Spinrite สองไฟล์รวมกันขนาดยังไม่ถึง 1MB เลย

Put del.icio.us on your blog

อย่างสรุปเลยนะครับ ผมต้องการเอา bookmarks ที่ผมเก็บไว้ใน del.icio.us มาแสดงใน sidebar ของ blog ผม โดยผมใช้ plugin ชื่อ aggrss สำหรับ wordpress ซึ่งเจ้า plugin ตัวนี้ต้องใช้ function จาก lastRSS (ทั้งสองไฟล์ผม save local ไว้ด้วย just in case ที่นี่เลยครับ aggrss.php.txt และ lastRSS.php.txt ) ขั้นตอนในเรื่อง plugin นี้มี 4 ขั้นตอนง่ายๆ คือ 1. สร้าง directory lastRSS ใต้ wp-content/plugins และ download lastRSS.php มาเก็บไว้ใน wp-content/plugins/lastRSS แล้วก็ 2. download aggrss.php มาไว้ในใน directory plugins สร้าง directory aggrss-cache ไ้ว้ใต้ wp-content (ถ้าต้องการเปลี่ยนให้เปลี่ยนได้ใน aggrss.php) อย่าลืม set ให้เป็น read+write ด้วย

Scuttle Bookmark

Check this out. I just downloaded this and implement social bookmarking on my site. The download page is here http://sourceforge.net/projects/scuttle/ To make it work on my local developing maching (windows xp/iis/mysql/php5), I had to enable the multibyte string module (php_mbstring.dll) and also did one modification in functions.inc.php line 8 : original : T_setlocale(LC_MESSAGES, $locale); changed to : $ret = T_setlocale(LC_ALL, $locale); This is because the LC_MESSAGES is not supported in my installed PHP. If needed it has to be compiled using something I don't remember but you can check the documentation. It's there.
